A delightful story.
Dina’s childhood was far from ideal and now with her brother fixing to annex her fortune she feels she has no option but a marriage of convenience to take her money out of his reach. Her plans go sadly awry though and instead she finds herself married to a man she has no hope of managing. A very enjoyable read with an unusually athletic heroine and a mountainous but gentle hero. Dina’s original intention is to allow her new husband to go his own way and live apart from him but Grant quickly feels protective of her and she finds herself enfolded into his family. The villainous brother however will not be silenced and attempts to disrupt their journey to marital harmony.
I loved the fact that Dina, in response to her slight stature, learnt as a girl to protect herself and has carried on with a regular fitness regime unusual for a woman of her time.
