More recognition for Starstruck!! 🙂

Today I received a call telling me that Starstruck is a finalist in the Heart of Excellence Readers' Choice Awards! It hasn't won (winners will be announced at the end of September), so I don't actually have the lovely trophy pictured, but I'm still VERY excited! I just love knowing that other readers–librarians, booksellers and pure (non-writer) readers–are enjoying this book and this series!

iheartindiefinalistUPDATE: I've also received word that Starstruck finaled in the Las Vegas Romance Writers' “I Heart Indie” contest! Winners will be announced in October.

The only contests I've entered with Starstruck have been those judged by “real” readers.  So many contests have  judges who are editors, agents and other published authors, and while their opinions are certainly valid and valuable, my main goal is to connect with READERS–the people who read for the simple love of stories. I love, love, love that they are the ones giving Starstruck a thumbs-up!
