Hello! Whether you’re one of my faithful readers, someone who has just discovered my books, or you’re just poking around after checking out my money survey, I’m delighted that you’ve stopped by!

I’ve just put up my second e-book (so far), SCANDALOUS VIRTUE. This was my very first single title historical romance (after several traditional Harlequin Regency Romances), first published by HarperCollins in 1999.

In SCANDALOUS VIRTUE, an overprotected widow ready to kick up her heels meets a notorious rake trying to reform. Each sees the other as a shortcut to change . . . until the sparks fly!

This book was named “Best Romance of the Year” in 1999 by the American Book Readers Association and received glowing reviews from several publications, to include Publisher’s Weekly, which described the book as “fast, witty and fun.”

I’m also pleased to announce that SHIP OF DREAMS, first published in 2000 by HarperCollins, is available again as an e-book! This book was a bit of a departure for me, as it is as much historical fiction as historical romance. The story is built around the true events (and people) of the final, ill-fated voyage of the SS Central America, a sidewheel steamer bringing passengers (and gold) back from San Francisco after the Gold Rush. While I did a massive amount of research for this book to get the historical details right, my goal was to bring my readers an enjoyable read, not a textbook. Quite a few readers and reviewers seem to think I succeeded, some going so far as to call SHIP OF DREAMS my best book. (I don’t know about that–I tend to think whichever book I’m working on is my best!)

Because I could, I took the opportunity to fix a few things in the text before re-releasing these books. I was also able to commission my own covers, shown here–something we authors normally never get to do. Even more fun, I was able to use my own daughter as my cover model for SHIP OF DREAMS, as her coloring is the same as Della’s. I am delighted to make these books available again after several years out of print, and I hope those of you who missed them the first time around will enjoy the chance to read them.

I’m hoping to make many other books available over the coming year–though of course I’m still writing new ones, as well! More on those as soon as there’s news to share. (Soon, I hope!)

Oh, to answer one of the questions I’m asked most often about my Saints of Seven Dials series (which I hope to release as e-books very soon): These loosely linked books (each stands alone) are, in order: ROGUE’S HONOR, A REBELLIOUS BRIDE, INNOCENT PASSIONS and WICKEDLY YOURS. However, all of my Regency-set books (including my earlier traditional Regencies from Harlequin) are set in the same “world” with a few recurring peripheral characters, so I hope you’ll feel at home with whatever book you happen to pick up!
